In this blog i’m going to tell you how to screenshot on pc. By using these methods you can easily take screenshot on your computer whatever the OS (Windows, Linux, MAC, Chromebook) it runs without any software. Before getting started make sure you subscribe our blog for more helpful blogs in coming future. I will explain step by step for this process for different OS. At first let’s start with Windows:

1. For Windows: How to screenshot on PC – windows?

There are different ways to take screenshot in windows os. Some of them are describes below.

a. By using Shortcut key ( Windows+Shift+S )

Steps for taking screenshot by using shortcut key in windows 10

  1. Stay on the page

    stay on the page / screen you want to take screenshot.

  2. Press Windows+Shift+S keys

    press Windows+Shift+S keys and wait Windows+Shift+S keys to take screenshot

  3. Take screenshot

    Now you can take screenshot of the full screen or cut the part to take screenshot of certain part only.

b. By Using Shortcut key ( WIndows + PrtScr )

This is the fastest way to take screenshot on windows computer. You just need to press Windows key + PrtScr key and it’s done. You can find your screenshots inside Pictures > Screenshots.

c. By using Snipping tool

To use snipping tool, go to click or press start (windows) button and search for “snipping tool“.

2. For Linux: How to screenshot on PC – Linux?

In Linux there are also a lot of options to take screenshot. I’m mentioning only some of those below:

a. By using Shortcut keys

PrtSc – Save a screenshot of the entire screen to the “Pictures” directory.
Shift + PrtScr – Save a screenshot of a specific region to Pictures.
Alt + PrtScr – Save a screenshot of the current window to Pictures.
Ctrl + PrtScr – Copy the screenshot of the entire screen to the clipboard.
Shift + Ctrl + PrtScr – Copy the screenshot of a specific region to the clipboard.
Ctrl + Alt + PrtScr – Copy the screenshot of the current window to the clipboard.

b. By using Gnome screenshot in your linux machine

Search for screenshot in Accessories folder of your Applications menu. The Gnome Screenshot utility allows you to perform some additional screenshot functions, such as adding a delay.

3. For MAC: How to screenshot on MAC PC?

You can capture the entire screen, a window, or just a portion of the screen in your macbook just like in other OS.

a. By using shortcut key (Shift+Command+3)

To take a screenshot, press and hold Shift, Command, and 3 together. This method can be used to capture whole screen.
If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screenshot to save to your desktop. And that’s it.

b. By using Shortcut key (Shift+command+4)

To take a screenshot, press and hold Shift, Command, and 3 together. This method is very useful to capture some part of screen.
If you see a courser in the corner of your screen, click it to drag and take the screenshot.

c. Shortcut Key (Shift+command+4+Space bar)

To take a screenshot open the window you want to capture, press and hold Shift, Command, 4 and Space Bar together. This method is very useful to capture window screen. The pointer changes to a camera icon . To cancel taking the screenshot, press the Esc (Escape) key.
